LEARN hosts IPv6 Drill in Sri Lanka

LEARN is joining hands with Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), ISOC Sri Lanka Chapter and ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) in facilitating an IPv6 test flight for local Internet Service Providers on 8th of June 2011 to mark the World IPv6 day. The main page is hosted at LEARN and replicated at http://www.isoc.lk/ipv6drill.

LEARN was one of the first networks in Sri Lanka to deploy IPv6. The core of the LEARN network was IPv6 enabled in July 2008. We have been peering on IPv6 with our service provider Sri Lanka Telecom since October 2008 and with TEIN3 academic/research network since April 2010. At present most of the universities on the LEARN network have their web sites on IPv6. More details on the current status of IPv6 deployment in LEARN can be found at http://www.ac.lk/ipv6.

The ISOC Sri Lanka Chapter cordially invites all the ISP of Sri Lanka to create a page and host it on IPv6 and to create a link to http://www.ac.lk/ipv6drill as well as to http://www.isoc.lk/ipv6drill.

We will list all pages/sites which are hosted on IPv6 in our page and we invite to link the page to other site.
